Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how information about you is collected, used, and shared when you visit artbyjul.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by Julie Engelmann (Art by Jul) (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
We keep things simple: we collect very little, we don’t sell your information, and we only use what we collect to run the Site and respond to you.
Information we collect
Information you provide to us. When you fill out our contact form, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, subject, and message. We use this only to read and respond to your inquiry.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our analytics provider automatically collect standard technical information, which may include your IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and analytics” below).
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics sets cookies that collect standard log information and visitor-behavior information in aggregated form — for example, which pages are most popular and how people find the Site. We use GA4 in its standard configuration and do not enable Google’s advertising features.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings. For details on how Google handles data, see policies.google.com/privacy.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for how to interpret DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them.
How your information is shared
We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We share information only with the service providers that help us run the Site, and only as needed for them to do their job:
- Formspree — delivers submissions from our contact form.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — provides Site analytics.
- Vercel — hosts the Site and processes standard server logs.
- Cloudinary — delivers images and video on the Site.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
